You can tell the genre of this film by the presence of swords and Gollum in the bottom left corner. The clothing also resembles the fantasy genre, as you wouldn't see people wearing outfits like these in real life. There is also a sub-genre of action, resembled again by the swords, but also by the armour.
The colours can also be linked to the fantasy genre, as there is a golden tinge to a large percentage of the poster, a colour which resembles myth, riches and mystery. This is complemented by the font of the title, which suggests history as well as an interesting story.
This poster doesn't really give much away about the particulars of the film, such as cast, certificate or distribution and production companies, but that may simply be due to the version of the poster I have chosen.
This poster fits well with the film's 12A rating, as it warns parents of violence via the swords, but is otherwise quite tame, and does not show any direct violence.
